Originally from Wisconsin, Marian Rodriguez completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in 1986.  She saw a need for a bilingual Women’s Health nurse in her community and went on to become an Obstetric-Gynecologic Nurse Practitioner through Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin Department of Nursing Education and the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee School of Nursing in 1991. She has been caring for women as a nurse practitioner for 31 years, practicing in Wisconsin for 17 years and then moved to South Florida in 2008 with her son where she was attracted by the diversity of cultures, the year-round sunny weather, the flora and fauna of beautiful Florida, the variety of culinary flavors and exposure to music from all parts of the world.  She comes from a large close-knit family and spends much time with them and as much as she can with her aging parents in Puerto Rico.  She enjoys spending spare time outdoors, hiking and camping and enjoying the enchantment of mother nature in every form.
Marian takes pride in her role as Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner and feels a special vocation to helping women in this capacity, working with women to achieve optimum health by teaching skills essential to navigating through the healthcare system and access resources.  She is committed to helping women attain the tools needed to make better decisions about their health and has dedicated herself to caring for women of all cultures and ethnic backgrounds and has maintained lifetime relationships with some patients over the years getting updates on them or their children from time to time. She is fluent in Spanish.
Marian manages care for the obstetric patient from the beginning of prenatal care until term and provides gynecologic services to include family planning, diagnosis and treatment of vaginal/cervical infections, abnormal pap management, menopause and other common gynecological disorders. She is focused on providing comprehensive and compassionate care and dedicates much of her time educating patients until they have a better understanding of their health status and can make better, informed decisions.
